  2. Change the cover image if there is no poster or don't display a cover at all.

    I have a few shorts in my favourites and I don't like the covers that come up for them as they look really ugly, maybe you could make the option that you can choose not to see the covers.

  3. User-based list recommendation feature

    Give users the ability to recommend lists. When adding a list to "Recommended" you have to provide a short explanation to why you recommend it. This way it's easier to judge for yourself if a list is for you and it becomes less of a popularity contest like the current charts.

    This could also work as a feature for movies.

  4. Add ability to ignore lists

    Not necessarily dislike, but ignore. Ignored lists should not give you notice on award updates nor should they be on the award shelf or in "progress".

  5. Make an option to IMDb-import from a .CSV

    bc IMDb import straight from IMDb is terribly unsuccessful (working with a huge list), usually ends in error

  6. Order by # of Checks by Friends

    So, now we can see at a movie site which friends have seen that flick.
    It would be cool if you could go on the "Unchecked films" tab and order the films by how many friends have seen a film. That way one could see which movies are popular among friends and could be watched to have a chat about.

  7. fix the find friends feature! It's been broken for absolutely ages...

    I check an error every time I try to use that feature and have done for months - I have no idea if any of my other friends use your service because of this.

  8. Only show movies from a selected langauge

    Maybe you are on in the mood for a movie in a certain language. Allowing to hide non-"certain language" movies from lists will make it easier to find something to watch.

  9. Less boring frontpage

    In my opinion the frontpage of ICM is kinda boring.
    The "Here's what your friends have been up to lately" is good but the right column is boring because that never changes. You could show it to logged-out (new) viewers but we members probably want to see something else each day.
    The "Quote of the day" is decent and "News" is good.

    What I suggest is a section that says: "Latest comments". This obviously contains about 5 links to the last 5 comments made on ICM.

    What else would be nice to replace the current content of the right column…

    I wish you had a link to the Wikipedia page of each movie. I always do this.

  11. Recommended lists (sorted by ratio (favourited / checked) movies)

    I'd like to search for lists that contain maximum number of movies favourited by me, normalized by total number of checked (by me) movies in that list. So the formula of "list compatibility rating" could be:
    R = (F / C+10)
    R - list compatibility rating
    F - number of favourited movies in the list
    C - number of checked movies in the list
    +10 - normalizing summand

    I think this feature of recommended lists would be a great companion to existing movie recommendations.

  13. Customize with FULL integration of PERSONAL lists added to WATCHLIST -- Huge Bang For Buck!

    Adding a list to the watchlist is essentially adopting a personal list. When I add a list to my watchlist it should be treated just like an official list. For instance...

    1. A movie's INFO tab shows all the official lists which include that film. This should be expanded to show if the movie is in any lists added to my watchlists.

    2. The Progress page should have an additional tab, "Watchlists", which shows my progress on any lists in my watchlist.

    3. Official lists give trophies but completing an "unofficial list" would award an "emblem" which would essentially be the avatar of…

  14. Allow a "silent" check option, which won't post your check to linked Social Networks.

    I don't always want to tell the world I just checked a movie, whether it's because it's a movie I have already seen ages ago and just remembered to check it, or simply because I don't want to spam my Facebook / Twitter with a 100 checks of shorts.

    It'd be nice to have a way to check a movie without posting it to linked social networks.

  16. Replace the old TV set in the header with something more "cinematographic"

    Not that I don't like it but it seems to me a bit out of place, like using an old radio as main icon for www.icheckoperas.com. A film camera, just an example, would feel more appropriate.

  17. Select a "VIEWED ON" tag for each film to tell us where you saw it ! (this tags each film as: CINEMA, TV, NETFLIX, NOWTV etc)

    By adding this feature, other people can filter lists on services they use (eg NETFLIX UK)
    You attract more users.
    because the searches on Netflix are rubbish, everyone wins.

  18. Track how many unlisted movies users add.

    Great site. I have a suggestion. You should somehow show how many
    movies a person has added to the website (how many IMDB links added i guess). It would probably generate competition - movie fans can be very competitive and love the attention :) Just a thought

  19. Add an option to choose country (and language) for a.k.a. titles

    Because many of us don't live in English speaking countries so most of the time it is not English titles that we see around.

  20. Show if film is included in any watchlists in INFO tab (in addition to official lists)

    Currently a movie's INFO tab includes a display of all official lists which include the film. There is also a link to show all lists (official and personal) that include the movie.

    New feature: I would like to see, in addition to the official lists, if the film is included in any of the lists that have been added to the "watchlist". These lists would be automatically displayed below the official lists. This would let the user quickly see if the movie is part of a list that interests them.
