  1. Integrate with Netflix queue and Amazon Instant Video watchlist

    Your To-Watch list could be imported into your Netflix queue and Amazon watchlist, then all you'd have to do on those sites is put them in the order you want to see them. Right now I manage my film lists on multiple sites and it would save me time.

  2. Allow people to download a screensaver based on films they've seen

    On Last.fm they have a dynamic screensaver download where your screensaver is a selection of album art based on what you listen to. I think if it could be done here with the film posters (maybe with loved films getting a priority) it could be a cool secondary feature.

  3. add a feature that shows total length of all your checks

    Like on the "myanimelist" forum, the total length of all views is shown, based on the length it says on the IMDb page for every movie, added up.

  4. Filter Movies on Lists by other lists. e.g. See what movies cross two or more specific lists.

    Basically if you are working on two lists. You'll want finish checking movies that are on both list. So by being able to filter, let says the 501 Must See Movies with the IMDb 250, You'll be able to find out what movie you'll need to progress on the list at the same speed.

  5. Allow users to have signatures for personal lists

    We have signatures for official lists that display our progress on the list, but I think it would be cool if we also had signatures for personal lists.

    There are probably too many lists to generate a signature for every list for every user, but maybe you can allow each user to select up to 10 personal lists, and then generate signatures just for those lists.

  6. Allow users to flag comments as spam.

    Comments like these:
    http://www.icheckmovies.com/profiles/comments/?user=expletivedleted
    or any other kind of spam could be flagged by other users, and if a comment is flagged say 5 or so times it would be collapsed. The comment could still be expanded and read, but it would be marked as spam and it would no longer clutter up the pages with obnoxious self-promotion.

  7. Filter lists list on favorited / watchlist

    When opening a movies page there is a tab to check what lists it is in, iMC, personal or both.
    A nice feature would be the possibility to filter that lists list on lists that I have marked as favorite or watchlist.

  8. Include IMDB personal rating, and top list personal rating average

    I am more and more wondering which lists i like the most.
    And I am thinking the best way to find out is to get my average IMDB rating calculated for the movies I have seen / checked in each list. The list with my highest rating average must be the list I like the most! Statistics don't lie they say...
    It would be a nice tool to see in what lists I am likely to find movies I like, and thus the list I want to concetrate on and continue to work on.
    As this would require to get…

  9. More stats on compare profiles

    Now we see:

    You vs. xxx:
    1347 - 1005 (checks)
    and then compares each of the lists and shows who wins.

    My suggestion is also show the total number of lists won and lost.

    e.g:

    You vs. xxx:
    1347 - 1005
    80 - 40 - 13 ties

  10. Give the possibility to display our lists on dashboard at the way we want

    Give the possibility to display our lists on dashboard at the way we want (custom or recent), same as favorite and owned.

    Add to settings (on Misc) this option:

    Display most recent list on dashboard (instead of custom ordering)

  11. More detailed stats on dashboard

    Would be nice if the stats were more detailed.

    e.g:

    Checks: 1500
    Official: 500
    Movies: 1200
    Tv episodes: 300
    Rank: #6100
    Rank title: Actor

    I know that checks in eps from tv series does not affect the official rank,
    but affects the total number of checks, masking the true number, this is the reason why I dont check eps,
    but I want to. So, it would be great if the stats were more detailed.

    that way I'll always know the answer to: "how many movies have you seen?"

  12. Change the list watchlist feature to a follow list model.

    Allow users to follow lists and get updates on changes of that list via private messages (same as the IMDb toplist updates) or in the activity stream.

    The watchlist for lists will be replaced with 'Lists you follow' and you'll receive updates via private messages or in your activity stream when a list has been updated if you choose to in your settings.

    For the people that don't like this idea: You'll still be able to use the 'Lists you follow' page as a watchlist. The name is just different and you'll receive an update if one of the lists…

  13. what about hot link to metacritic.com too, like imdb.com, on the movie pages ?

    I would like to see a hot link to metacritic.com along with the imdb.com on the movie pages. if imdb is the encyclopedia, metacritic is the bible of movies. And with very reasonable reviews across all the web.

  14. Official Actor and Actress pages

    Pages with all their movies on. It would be cool not to have to go onto IMDB to find an actors filmography, and which ones I've seen etc.
    Also, top 10 actor list?

  15. Filter friends activity

    I think it would be great to have the possibility to choose which of your friends activities you want to see. This can be very useful especially for those who have many friends. In my case, sometimes I receive so many notifications, that I have difficulty to see what are my closest friends (in cinematic taste) doing.

  16. Statistic of movies I've watched

    I'd love to see statistics or some kind of chart about movies I've watched. Like top 10 actors, directors, or genres I've watched the most, based on my check.

  19. Create a movie event / festival / screening calendar

    In simple words - please add a calendar, in which a specific user or group might add festivals, movie related events and movies (especially the obscure ones) screened in his/her region or country. This might allow other users from the group to find out and prepare for the event, and possibly attend it. This calendar could also be global (visible by all users) with the possibillity to limit the range of events to certain area by the use of tags (country, region, city etc.). It would also be great to allow linking to the webpage describing the specified event.

  20. Add "owned" to the information on movie pages

    Add how many people owns the movie among the other stuff like "checked", "favorited", "disliked" etc.
