Remove inactive users from charts
Remove from charts users that don't check a movie for more than a certain time, like 6 months or 1 year. This will prevent cheaters who register and check lots of movies just to get a high position on charts and then never check a movie again. The accounts are kept and people can still access them. They only drop out of the charts in case of inactivity.

don't need to delete account. for examlpe: if users didn't check any title for 6 months make account inactive but don't delete. and drop the account from user rankings

Great idea! This sounds wise. I agree with what 2145 commented, that would be very agreeable.

Hardly. It's one that makes a lot of sense.

Another reason why it would be a great feature: the server-side load (what with all individual charts for lists and the overall chart) would go down somewhat.
Not to say it is the easiest idea to implement in the whole top-15 here.

it's a good idea. + i think it would be easy enough to do... i imagine it being like when people change all their settings to ''private''... it would look like this:
http://www.icheckmovies.com/profiles/nine99/
And as soon as they connect again, they re enter the charts... until they don't connect for like 6 months... :)

I am with you on this one... its annoying to see guys that are in the top 100 that only logged in the site like 2 or 3 times to check hundreds of movies and now are inactive for more than a year and some of them for more than 2 years... your idea could be good not only to stop cheaters but mostly to give incentive to the active users that use icm daily or weekly... cheers

Definitely a great idea! It could also improve the competitive part of the site, since only active members are counting to charts.
