Create more lists that analyse icheckmovies' data.
"Most disliked", "Most polarizing" (ie highest count of likes+dislikes), "Most listed" (in the most toplists), etc.

Ok, I think I have a decent enough 'most polarizing' list: http://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/icheckmovies+-+1000+most+polarizing/

I added personal 'most disliked' lists, both a weighted and unweighted version: http://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/icheckmovies+-+1000+most+disliked+weighted
Not sure of their value though, the unweighted one is unsurprisingly just popular main stream movies and the weighted one is mostly obscure movies from some of the larger but more esoteric lists (obscure movies not on a list tend not to get any attention, no matter how bad), with a few notable exceptions like Avatar or the last Airbender or Twilight.
I've been trying to come up with a good formula for 'most polarizing' but its difficult, just adding favorites+dislikes isn't all that interesting because the popular movies dominate, but weighting by checks doesn't work very well either because it just gets movies with lots of favorites or lots of dislikes but not both. I'm open to suggestions.

HEMA: Admittedly true that most disliked doesn't mean fundamentally bad, but I don't feel comfortable with the idea that people are rewarded for watching bad films when there are good films waiting to be seen.
As for "best of the best" lists, there are enough of those. These films don't need any more exposure than they already have. North American and Western European cinema are disproportionately represented as is, this would only pad that advantage further.

A "Most disliked" list would be interesting, but it shouldn't be an official list. You could use the formula "dislikes / (checks+50)."
Also I wish there was an auto-updating "iCheckMovies Most Favorite - obscure version." I added it as a personal list and I've been updating it manually about once a month. If it was auto-updated it would save me some time.

Most disliked =/= fundamentally bad films.
I'd be very interested to see which movies people have disliked but I liked to see.
And it is possible to see which movies are in the most lists, but I think a separate list would make it easier to see. The way I see it, the movies in the most lists are the best of the best, and deserve to be watched. I think it would be a very good place for newcomers to start their adventure, when they want to get out of their comfort zone.

"Most Disliked" is a terrible idea, in my opinion, because fundamentally bad films shouldn't be given more reasons to be watched compared to many, many wonderful, under the radar films.
However, the "Most Polarizing" idea is quite interesting. Often, the best, most personal films fit into this category, and it'd be interesting to see how they stack up.
"Most Listed" is technically already on the site, and doubling up on that reinforces watching the same group of films to newcomers.

The site is better off with more lists in general. No where did I say we shouldn't adopt lists, I just feel that there is a lot of interesting data to be found on icheckmovies, I wish it were more accessible.
Most disliked movies is actually probably going to diversify the checked movies, as it will be very different from "most favourited". -

I don't see the point of it. It will only encourage circle jerking at the cost of diversifying. Do we want to have everybody have seen the same set of movies?
I don't think it's a bad idea, but the site will be better off with more adopted lists from underexplored areas of cinema. -

I think that is outside of the scope of my suggestion, but PLEASE suggest it, because it is a great idea!

It would also be nice to see which movies that are most seen/favourited/disliked by users of different countries.
