An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedI definitely used it quite a bit. The problem was that it wasn't intuitive enough for people to even know the option was there to begin with. I found it by my mistake myself.
An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedFrans: Understood, was just doubling-down on HEMA's comment. It's a feature I do miss, personally.
An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedFilms used to have this, and I really do miss this feature. I like seeing trends of films over long periods, and sometimes it helps in making a decision on which films to watch. (I.e., if a film is heavily trending to leave a frequently updated list, there is less of an urge to watch it.)

We’re always looking for new lists, so I’ll set this to planned! :)
An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedIf you're referring to the IMDb Documentary list, Forrester, I wouldn't consider that proper.
An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedCome to think of it, do we still not have a proper documentary list?
An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedIdeally, it would be preferable to have newer lists concentrate on cinema that isn't already present in quite a few of the existing official lists. New countries or underrepresented areas. As of now, there are already way too many that have significant overlap.

An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedYou're right, Knaldskalle. Just tested it, and it doesn't work.
An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedThanks for the tip, Sobchak. Maybe this setting should be on by default?

An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedHEMA: Admittedly true that most disliked doesn't mean fundamentally bad, but I don't feel comfortable with the idea that people are rewarded for watching bad films when there are good films waiting to be seen.
As for "best of the best" lists, there are enough of those. These films don't need any more exposure than they already have. North American and Western European cinema are disproportionately represented as is, this would only pad that advantage further.
An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commented"Most Disliked" is a terrible idea, in my opinion, because fundamentally bad films shouldn't be given more reasons to be watched compared to many, many wonderful, under the radar films.
However, the "Most Polarizing" idea is quite interesting. Often, the best, most personal films fit into this category, and it'd be interesting to see how they stack up.
"Most Listed" is technically already on the site, and doubling up on that reinforces watching the same group of films to newcomers.

An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedFor those who don't want their ratings publicly listed, there could also be an option to opt out/make them private.

Great idea. We’ll think about this.
An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedIt would be interesting to see some statistics, such as "Most popular in the last week" or "Most dislikes in the past week."

An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedThis could be good, though definitely not a higher priority unless it's exceedingly easy.

An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedShould these two be integrated into one topic?
An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedThis is a win-win situation for both the developers as well as users.

An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedIt should be built into the comment system so that users don't need to manually do a quote.
Love the idea of up-voting and down-voting comments. There are plenty of constructive comments on iCM, but unfortunately, there are an equal amount that are effectively spam.

An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedThe personal statistics idea is great, and would give iCM a boost against competitive sites.

An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedInteresting idea, but don't think this is particularly applicable considering there is no contained set of films. It works for an Xbox or PS3 game because you know its limits.

Thanks a million for your feedback. We’ll look into this one.
An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedThe easiest and most obvious solution is to make all new lists "private" by default. This way, people who expressly want to share their lists can do so by changing the setting.

An error occurred while saving the comment Life as Fiction commentedThis would open up a complete can of worms. How would one set the criteria?
Think of it from this angle: I have a few lists where I'm not that far ahead, and I'm curious if there are others out there who have seen more with whom I can discuss the unseen films. A "top users" for personal lists would allow us to gain such insight.
