An error occurred while saving the comment Ferry van den Boom commentedAlso miss the option in uservoice to edit my comment, so I could get rid of all the mistakes in grammar and edit it to clarify. Apparantly I was in to much of a hurry. Sorry for the badly written comment, I hope you understand it regardless
An error occurred while saving the comment Ferry van den Boom commentedI wouldn't like this change. Let me explain:
Right now I use the list-watchlist for movie-list of which I receive a platinum award. When a movie appears in such a list that I haven't seen, I want to make that list platinum again, but not right away (most of the time, because I have 50+ movies in my movie-watchlist) or because that movie has just been released and I'm sure the movie will drop out of the list eventually.
So every now and then I come back to my watchlist and add the movies that I haven't seen to my movie-watchlist to make those 'used to be platinum'-lists platinum again.Proposal:
Keep the lists-watchlist 'as is'. Give the user the option (in his options/settings) to receive a mail/private message/activity stream update when any of the lists in his lists-watchlist change. Maybe even give him/her control over 'what changes' they want to be mailed about ((dis)appearing movies/rankings change).by the way: At this time the functionality of the 'IMDb top list updates' only shows appearances and disappearances. Not changes in ranking as you stated in your example
Best Regards,
Llanirev
PS. It's nice that there is a 'Vote' and 'Like' button on this page, but I see no way to cast a negative vote/dislike, so you will never know how many people don't like this option, only how many like it.
