In my opinion, several of the imdb genre lists have suffered greatly from a vote inflation, causing indian and turkish cinema to dominate the lists because of the way the lists are being calculated.237 votes
We’ve changed the way we update the lists. This should be fixed.
Genres and directors have been added. We won’t add actors. Expect it to be online soon!
i want to filter my checked movies per year or per country or per director etc.54 votes
Allow users to create custom tabs for different types of official/unofficial list (director filmography, country lists, etc) to make it easier to track progress33 votes
There now is a “Followed” tab on your progress page which shows the official lists you follow. Check it out on our beta: https://beta.icheckmovies.com/progress

Improve navigation so that one can check on a movie on a list, then back up and:
–land to where one was, without having to go back to the beginning and check "see all" after one comes to 50 items;
–stay on one section of the lists (e.g. critics) without having to see all the IMDb stuff;
– stay in the settings one has chosen (e.g. unchecked by year of release)28 votes
So you can see in what order you saw the movies on that list.22 votes

On a movie page, show not only if your friends have watched it but also whether they favorited or disliked it.22 votes
Currently the csv exports of lists only include the number of checks and the number of favorites for each movie. I assume it would be trivially easy to also add the number of dislikes.
This would provide some interesting information for analysis, comparing likes and dislikes, dislikes to favorites, etc.14 votes
Something we forgot ;) We’ll add it ASAP
- edit: Fix just went live.
Similar to Youtube, will encourage more comments being made.10 votes

Currently, lists on the progress page can be ordered by either name or closest award. This results in lots of lists with a low movie count (i.e. IMDb genre lists) showing up at the top and longer lists (i.e. Criterion Collection) at the bottom. This could be solved by adding an option to order the lists relatively. That way, 200 checks on the Criterion Collection would turn up higher than a few checks (or none at all) on the 'top 100 of country X' lists. Ordering by number of checks would also help a lot. Adding both options would be ideal, of course.

The progress page on the beta can sort on “completion” which does exactly this. See: https://beta.icheckmovies.com/progress
I don't know if this is easily do-able, but it would be very nice to be able to view a quick description of each movie, without having to click through to view the information on IMDB. Is it possible to display IMDB's blurb directly in ICheckMovies, or pull this data from elsewhere, such as Amazon?8 votes
As of now it's possible to mark lists as favorites - but the favorites aren't shown as a tab on the progress page. This needs fixing.8 votes
There is now a “followed” lists tab on the progress page for premium users. This page shows the official lists you follow. See https://beta.icheckmovies.com/progress
Make it possible to change "Here's what your friends have been up to lately" into "Here's what everyone has been up to lately"
As I don't have any friends on ICM and don't feel the need to add them (because none of my real friends uses it), I would like the possibility to see "Here's what everyone has been up to lately" on the main page instead of "Here's what your friends have been up to lately". It would be even better to make the main page modifiable.6 votes
This has been implemented. iCheckMovies now shows the global activity stream if you don’t have any friends.
Some movies were added to ICM before their release date/title was finalized. There should be a button that allows the movies major information to be synced with what's currently on IMDB.5 votes
Our moderators have the ability to update a movie
I created a script for myself which does this, and also adds some useful buttons to external websites: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B3J40-U3KcODQmgwQmNxaHpGS3c (The imdb link is weird I know). Since I use it, I think it could be useful for everyone. However, with the script I'm querying imdb for each movie, and icheckmovies should have these infos in their DB, which would make it easier.5 votes
We now have running time, rating, genres, directors and votes!
I really don't care about which films got added/dropped off which lists. The notifications are cluttering my inbox and deleting them periodically is a pain. Is there a way to opt out of receiving them?5 votes
This is already possible. Just go to the notification settings page: https://www.icheckmovies.com/settings/notifications/
When exporting lists in csv format, runtimes are not included. I expect this would be easy to add, and of interest to users.4 votes

if a movie has three comments or fewer, the "see all comments" link should not be live so that i don't waste time clicking on it2 votes
